The updated Source Engine fixes those issues. On my i7 8700k and GTX 1080Ti games like Episode 1 and 2 have fps drops every few seconds. Sadly most games in this repack use ancient version of Source Engine and that old version has issues with modern hardware. So basically only the base game for Half Life 2 is fully updated.
